The 2012 Links of London Keepsakes collection launched in August features one-of-a-kind talismanic pieces designed to “create individual and personal meanings” for everyone. The pieces convey “the symbolism of jewellery as keepsakes that are cherished forever”.

If looking for exquisite keepsakes by this iconic jewellery brand, take a look at the range of Links charms that make part of the unusual Keepsakes collection perfect to celebrate personal milestones, whether you’re gifting loved ones or treating yourself.

  • Christmas charms. Christmas themed pieces make perfect gifts for the occasion. Made from sterling silver and 18ct gold, Christmas themed charms are available in various designs such as snowflakes, thumbprint stars, puddings, shooting stars, robins and others.
  • Chinese zodiac charms. If you’re looking for personalised charms, look no further than Chinese zodiac pieces including dog, dragon, horse, monkey, ox, pig, rabbit, rat, rooster, sheep, snake and tiger charms. Rainbow enamelling on zodiac signs makes these pieces adorable. The charms of sterling silver can be bought for £45.
  • Stone charms. Talismanic stone charms are among the bestsellers online. A Love Struck Bow And Arrow charm made of 18ct gold and diamonds was even featured in The Sunday Times Style in November 2012. The range of charms presented online is enormous, from Butterflies In My Tummy white topaz charms to Over The Moon silver and pearl charms to Mini Love Note charms with amethyst.
  • Alphabet charms. Using alphabet charms of sterling silver is a great way to create personalised jewellery for loved ones for Christmas.
  • Enamel charms. Following the trend for a handmade jewellery finish, the brand created a line of fun enamel charms. Select a fun charm with a personal meaning such as a hot pink enamel heart, cocktail glass with a cherry, cup cake, mini dice or bright yellow ducky charm. The range of enamel charms allows you to be inventive in getting that personal message across.

Valentines Day is around the corner,  will you be indulging in some keep sake gifts for that special someone?

Sponsored Post: Gifts in TIME for Christmas – Order by 9pm!

Christmas is approaching fast and I can honestly say I am not prepared at all.  I am now getting to the end of my tether and have succumbed to Internet shopping, well actually I’m always at the end of my tether and Internet shopping is always the route for me.

I am usually the organised individual of my bunch and have normally completed my shopping by mid November, I’m sitting here thinking what went wrong this year.

However Internet shopping can also be a pain, most online retailers cut off period for next day delivery is around 4pm so you can imagine my surprise when I heard that NEXT would be extending this period to 9pm. 9 – 5 workers can now get home for a cup of tea order and know that any last minute Christmas shopping they have left will be delivered the next day.. PERFECT.

NEXT have put together a rather fetching video ad highlighting (with a very colourful array of gifts from NEXT) the cut off time for next day deliveries.  I love how all the little objects come together to make an alarm clock, a very clever ad indeed.

I know I’ve had a nose on the site and will definitely be taking advantage of the 9pm cut off, will you?

Asos unveil their Christmas collection with stills and video clips off pink haired beauty Charlotte Free, singer Ellie Goulding and and hip hop artist Azealia Banks.

An array of vivid prints, sparkling gems and intricate cuts is what we can expect from this years Christmas Collection from ASOS.  I’m particularly swayed more towards Ellie Goudling’s look (seen above) the clash print and cuts are right up my street and rather different to the normal sparkly red, green, gold and silver prints that is the norm this time of the year.

Check out the Video below of Ellie Goulding who’s top to toe in the ASOS Christmas Collection in her latest music video.. can you spot a look you like?

Tips and style ideas for a neat tailored look at work

Whilst the summer might be coming, that doesn’t mean yawning summer holidays for all of us. Instead, most of us will still be in work 9-5 5 days a week, dreaming of a little break away from the office.

A key way to keeping happy and confident at work is how you look. Much has been written about the potential effect that ‘power’ dressing has on the mindsets or professionals – dress smart and elegant and you’ll think and work with discipline and elegance.

Whether you are after tailored suits or you work for a more playful office where jumpsuits and knits can be integrated, tailored looks from high street retailers such as Next can be affordable and still integrate contemporary trends and classic styles and cuts.

Taking a look at tailors’ forums and blogs are a wonderful way to pick up references and styles that you love – we love this Cutter and Tailor forum which has patterns and advice on how to adapt to different shapes and sizes, as well as giving a great overview of changes in shapes and cuts over the last six decades.

Coral slub peplum jacket and pencil skirt from the Jardin Collection

The summery Jardin collection from Next’s tailoring stable is a neat summary of the colour palette of spring/summer 2012 – and the cuts and shapes give you a great idea of how these lovely, rich pastels can be incorporated into workwear. Mid-length coral shorts with a loose, almost waterfall blazer, coupled with a bright, crisp white t shirt and either brown leather brogues or chunky sandals for a more casual office.

If you work in an environment where your appearance is key to maintaining distance and professionalism rather than conveying a sense of ‘nowness’ and affability, then you can still incorporate this season’s colours into more strict tailored suits.

A colour-contrast bag is a lovely summery off-set to black shift dresses and trouser suits. One of the keys to summer office dressing is a coat – in the UK we can survive up until April with our winter coat; however there comes a point in mid-spring when we need to move to something lighter, that nevertheless has a bit of smartness. Light trenches and raincoats in beige or on-trend soft peach or yellow are the way to bring some smart light and bright tailoring to you workwear.

We take a look at the best maxi dresses from Next UK

Summer is coming closer and closer, and with that in mind, many women are preparing (or wishfully thinking!) a sunshine wardrobe for the longed-for British summer. And with long lengths still popular in skirts and dresses in 2012, finding the right print maxi dress to fit into an existing summer wardrobe is at the top of many women’s clothing to-do lists.

Summer 2012 heralds a big come-back for the printed maxi dress. In recent years, loosely-fitting jersey maxi dresses in neutral colours or simple stripes (tight, navy and white Breton stripes were big in the last two years), worn with cropped jackets and flat brown leather sandals, have been an urban staple.

This year, however, it’s about colour and making a big, loud statement – which means patterns, brightness and innovative and exciting looks are back. Silk scarf-inspired prints and vintage Versace prints are now being hauled back by every high street and designer out there! Here are our top 3 print maxi dress options from Next:

Tropical Pleat Maxi Dress

Tropicals are this year’s florals, and you’ll be a fashion fool to miss out on them! Perfect for a dress worn by the beach, on holiday or to summer occasions and barbecues, the sexy and exotic combination or flowers and tropical birds on this flowing, pleated dress with gathered empire-line bust makes it a beautiful choice for women with dark skin or a good (and safe!) tan. Easy to wear and easily recyclable for seasons ahead.

Scarf Print Maxi Dress

The real on-trend choice, this one, and a lovely delicate throwback to the big prints and paisley-inspired patterns that came into the fashion world in the 1980s and 1990s. A big bright red, this is a slinkier dress that we could see with strappy metallic sandals for an evening spent dancing and being frivolous. Accessories sparingly, with up-hair to show off the gathered neckline over one shoulder.

Animal Print Maxi Dress

Finally, animal prints, which never get old. In 2012, it’s leopard print which is back, after snakeskin looks dominating in 2010. This variation is in a navy and green, which is perfect for nighttime as it adds a little fierce glamour without being too flashy – or too stainable!

So.. the question is, which Maxi will you be rocking?

Key clothing trends and the footwear to go with them!

With H&M’s recent launch of its Conscious collection, the trend for ethnic and tribal prints all alongside the advocation of environmental and world issues by designers like Stella MacCartney, this is the summer of ethical fashion.

And with the world media training its scrutinizing gaze on the UK for the Olympics – already under scrutiny for going over budget and in the balance when it comes to sustainability and the potential success of building after the Games – it’s about putting your best foot forward.

The idea that ethical fashion costs the earth is truly a myth. And, truth be told, with the season’s most popular shoe - wedge sandals (take a look at Next’s fabulous range), with chunky straps and in terracotta neutrals and browns or eye popping acid yellow – even fashion is calling for soft cottons, well-sourced silks and neat, African-print skirts or shirts.

Linen and cheesecloth shirts are a key look for pairing with pastel trousers and A-line skirts, as last season’s colour-blocking trend gets more delicate and minimal. The latest feature on ethical fashion buys in Stylist magazine have got some excellent ideas too for combining textures and colours.

The bright bright mustardy yellow is a lovely sunny take on this season’s mellow yellow that’s finding its way onto shirt collars, toes and heels of brogues, and bags and shoes.

Secondly, this summer calls for big prints – from ethno-geometry and tribal looks combining anything from African cloth prints to Scandinavian knitting and everything in between. Next’s tropical prints and this geo print tunic (pictured) are a great exemplar of essential summer dresses which can move from work to the pub to a party with little effort.

Geo print tunic from Next, £36

It’s a question of accessories – we’d take the geo print tunic, and wear it to work with sensible flat sandals or thin-soled brown brogues (the latest Clarks range are gorgeous and delicate). Dress it up with wedge sandals – this kind of bold print can really carry a big strap too, like these from The Shoe Room at Next.

Style Network: Before Meets After

Fashion really is the forefront of everything now days. Be it programmes like ‘The Hills’, ‘Gossip Girl’, ’90210′ or reality shows like ‘Goks Fashion Fix’, ‘How to look good Naked’ and ‘Bigger Than’. They all have one thing in common ‘FASHION’.

Although I cant say I’m a huge fan of reality T.V, shows like Big Brother just anger me however style shows always tickle my fancy. I couldn’t have been more excited to hear about ‘The Style Networks’ ‘Before Meets After’, a whole season of all things girly from ‘SATC’, ‘Clean House – new York’, ‘Style Exposed’ to ‘Whose Wedding Is It Anyway’.  A whole month dedicated to my kind of reality T.V, the inspirational kind.

Encouraging those much needed January clear outs that we all hate but know we need, style programmes like ‘How Do I Look’ can be quite inspiring. The New Year always brings the hope of a fresh start whether it be a new Job or to better ourselves. So I say why not make a date with your best girlfriends crack a bottle of Wine and get in some healthy munchies.. (you know that healthy M&S popcorn kind) and have an evening of girly fabulousness with ‘The Style Network’

Bicester Village: Chic, Luxurious & Fabulous!

For me, Christmas is a time that brings the family together and as much as we all complain about the busy shops I think we all secretly love it.

My problem with Christmas shopping is the tedious samey locations so discovering Bicester Village really was a breath a fresh air. Working in London means busy streets and cramped tubes all year round and upon leaving the office the first thing I want to do is get myself home. A weekend visit to Bicester Village was more than pleasant, an American open plan style outlet with a mixture of high street and designer shops, Bicester Village gives you the best of both worlds. Walking around the shops will really make an amazing Christmas memory for you, the icy cold chill, festive decorations and the smell of cinnamon and hot chocolate. Grab a coffee at one of the many fabulous coffee joints and continue on hunting for those perfect Christmas presents.

Christmas shopping for me at Bicester Village meant a few Mulberry, Moncler and All Saints items for family and friends ( I won’t mention who as they may read my blog) and then it was off to Alexander Mcqueen to try and track down some jewellery I’ve been wanting to get my hands on.

What is your favourite part about Christmas shopping and do you get fed up with samey shopping centres?
