Review: ROUGE COCO HYDRATING CRÈME LIP COLOUR

I’m a sucker for packaging and Chanel really know how to package their makeup.  The luxurious black and gold packaging get’s me every time.  It’s definitely a lippie I am proud to show off in public ;)

The texture is super smooth and very pigmented, I don’t have to apply it over and over to get the deep colour I want.  Of course a few layers will give you a really intense colour and coverage but whats great about this lippie is that one swoosh is saturated enough.  The finish is beautifully creamy with a healthy almost glossy look, mine lastED about 3-4 hours before needed a slight touch up.  Another great feature to this lippie is the stain it leaves behind, I have actually worn this lipstick and forgot it at home and have topped up the stain with a little bit of carmex and it looks amazing.

ROUGE COCO HYDRATING CRÈME LIP COLOUR in shade 53 – £24.00 available at most beauty counters.

Vaseline Limited Edition Lip Therapy – Blogger Challenge

Vaseline are launching a Limited Edition Lip Therapy tin which will go on sale exclusively in Selfridges from the 5th September. Our blogger challenge was to guess the flavour with the hints provided and put our creative skills to play and decorate our very own tin.

The hints:

Champagne truffles, a balloon and a candle.

My Tin:

My Guess:

There seems to be a mixture of ingredients in this formula, I can smell a strong scent of rose with a sweet scent of pink champagne and some sort of citrus base like mandarin or grape fruit. Lets hope i’m right :p

If you want to find out more info and see the actual tin then you can visit the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/vaseline

Lancome Rouge In Love Lipsticks

Check out the new range of lipsticks from ‘Lancome’ called ‘Rouge In Love’. Cased in slick brushed metal tubing the lipsticks boast a balm like texture and have been deemed this summers ‘must have’ product.

Benefits :

• Comfortable, ultra-light texture

• Up to 6 hours of wear with striking shine

• Smooth and soft lips thanks to the nourishing and repairing oils

• Medium to full coverage

I’m a huge fan of makeup with benefits and think that more and more brands are jumping on this band wagon. The lipsticks do have a gorgeous balm like texture and feel like butter when applied however the coverage isn’t as full as you would expect.

As you can see from the swatches, the colours dont match completely to the colour you’d expect to get when you first open the tube and see the lipstick colour for the first time however the lasting power and colour you do get is more than sufficient.

The range includes 24 shades so there is definitely a shade for everyone. My favourite is 159B (swatched above) its a gorgeous timeless red with a hint of coral. Perfect for any season!

Here’s what Emma Watson had to say about the lippies -

I chose the colour that I wore in the shoots, and it’s my favourite colour, Rouge In Love 159B, which is a really bright red. It’s great because it’s a new take on a classic red which I absolutely love. There is a pigment in it which makes it really bright, so it really stands out. This is why it was the one I chose for the ad campaign, and it was definitely my favourite.’
