Wednesday morning was rather exciting, it’s not everyday you get to have breakfast with a Hollywood star. I was invited to the Press Breakfast for Hugo Boss NUIT with special guest and ambassador Gwyneth Paltrow.
Tea, coffee, orange, champs and water was served with a lovely selection of cream cheese and salmon minnie bagels, cheese croissants and an array of breakfast Hors d’oeuvres. Shortly after a mingle and a chit chat we were introduced to the fragrance with a demonstration of all the notes.. (explained below)
Top Notes: White peach and Wet Aldehydic
Mid Notes (or as Hugo Boss like to call it) Heart Accord: Jasmine, White Flower Bouquet and Violet
Base Notes: Crystal Moss and Sandalwood
We then had a Q&A with the fabulous lady herself where she talked about all things beauty, her children, home life and how she chooses her fragrances, she was so down to earth it was quite refreshing.
Gwyneth prefers to wear Hugo Boss NUIT at night but admits to wearing it in the day for something a little heavier, she also mentions about trying to teach her daughter Apple about how less is more when it comes to perfumes, her lil one has a tendency of covering herself from head to toe in perfume.
She also spoke about her beauty regime and expressed that it was a commitment for when she turned 40 to make sure she took time on a weekly basis to have a facial, her simple beauty ritual and favourite moisturiser (which she mentioned a lot) has really kept her looking young I must admit. No idea what the moisturiser actually is I’m afraid, even though Ree from Reallyree.com did try her hardest to get it out of her.
The perfume for me is just right for evening wear, I have mentioned this over and over again but I am extremely sensitive to smells, anything too strong sets off a migraine but this has just all the right ingredients for an extra heavy evening scent which are all headache friendly
.
Hugo Boss NUIT priced £34 for 30ml, £47 for 50ml and £59 for 75ml.
